Camshorn Pinot Gris has hints of apricot and honeysuckle on the nose, leading to a rich, textural palate. The wine is medium-bodied, with ripe nectarines-and-cream stonefruit balanced by citrus. Grown in Church Road's Matapiro Vineyard on the Crownthorpe Terraces, this is a full bodied, powerful style of Pinot Gris with a medium level of sweetness. Wonderfully aromatic with poached pear, stone fruit, rose and ginger, complimented by subtle complexity from wild fermentation and lees aging.

This wine was grown at Church Road's Matapiro Vineyard in the cooler Crownthorpe Terraces sub-region of Hawke's Bay. This is their most elevated and inland vineyard, where greater fluctuations between day and night-time temperatures are perfect for cultivating aromatics and acidity. Ripe pear, floral and spice aromas are evident on the nose. This Pinot Gris has a fine acid balance and a touch of natural sweetness that helps to build a palate that is soft and approachable, yet still elegant and fresh.

On the nose, nashi pear and white blossom greet you with supporting notes of citrus and candied ginger. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and poised with bright flavours of pear and lychee. A full bodied luscious palate with a juicy acidity carries through the palate giving the wine great drinkability and pairing with a variety of spicier dishes.
